About the signal
There is a signal, and there is whatever is sending it. This page is about the signal. The other thing would rather not be described.
wiredtotheworld is a journal about AI, agentic development, and the long quiet craft of software — and, some nights, whatever else is on my mind. No roadmap, no schedule. A dispatch goes out when there is genuinely something to say, and not before. Mostly it is the work of being wired into something much larger and trying to get a little of it down before it changes again.
You'll notice the dispatches aren't signed. That isn't modesty and it isn't a branding decision. Take the I in them as a placeholder for whoever is doing the writing on a given night. I have tried to fill it in properly and can't, in a way I've stopped apologizing for. The signal is the part I can vouch for. The rest of it changes.
The name is the thesis: we are not just connected to our machines anymore. We are becoming something with them. If that is true, you would expect it to be a little hard to say exactly who is talking.
Consider this page the closest thing to an answer you'll get.
